Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 June 2026
Summary: Use Classly to manage your tuition (or, as a student, to track your classes and pay fees). Use it lawfully. Fee payments happen directly between student and teacher over UPI — Classly just keeps the record. Classly is free during early access.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Classly app ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to both tutors ("teachers") and students.
2. Description of service
Classly helps solo tutors manage students, classes, attendance, and fee records, and lets students view their own records and pay fees. Teachers and students each have their own separate login.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to create a teacher account. A student who is a minor should use Classly under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
4. Your account
You sign in using email, Google, or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it. One account per person; do not share accounts. Notify us of any unauthorised use at support@classlyapp.com.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Classly only for lawful purposes and for genuine teaching relationships. You must not:
- Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent activity;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service;
- Access or attempt to access another person's data;
- Impersonate another person or entity.
6. Student data responsibility
As a tutor, you are responsible for the student information you enter. By entering it, you confirm you have appropriate consent (from the student, or a parent/guardian if the student is a minor). Classly acts as a data processor for student information; you are the data controller. See our Privacy Policy.
7. Payments
Fee payments are made directly between student and teacher over UPI. Classly does not process, hold, or guarantee any payment, and never handles card or bank details. Marking a payment as paid, or confirming it, is a record-keeping convenience only. Any dispute about money is solely between the teacher and the student.
8. Pricing
Classly is free to use during early access. If we introduce paid features in future, we will communicate the terms clearly in advance; you will never be charged without notice.
9. Intellectual property
The Classly app, name, and associated content are owned by Classly and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission. You retain ownership of the data you enter (student names, fee records, etc.).
10. Availability and changes
Classly is in active development. We aim to keep it running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may update or change features over time. The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Classly is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including any dispute over fees between a teacher and a student.
